Comments: Happy Birthday, Elana. Hope it is a great one. Jim & Krista
Comments: AWESOME show last week in Mt. Pleasant, MI. I had a blast sitting in the front row, and probably had the biggest grin on my face! I'm listening to "Wishful Thinking" right now while studying and digging the album totally! Thanks again for a great show!!
Comments: Wondering if you folks might have a sec to help me identify a song you played in Arlington VA a couple weeks ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnlJy75AUeY Great show-- thanks again!!!
Comments: Still waiting for those amazing talents to come to Brazil ... First saw them at the Tumbleweed Festival (Garden City, KS) in Aug. 2008. They sounded fantastic live. Not a performance to miss.
Comments: I saw you Sat. night (9-26-09) in Cheboygan, MI. My husband and I let out a yell when we heard KANSAS as we are from there. We wanted to talk to you, but didn't have the opportunity, but you are terrific, and we let all our friends from here know how terrific KS and OK are!! They make a lot of fun of us. Where in KS are you from Alana? We live in the northwest corner. Would go see you anytime again. Thank you for such a great evening.
Comments: sorry about the misspell should be AWESOME...got too cocky for spellcheck
Comments: just caught the rerun of the jools holland show...AWSOME!!...so what is the album that best represents what i saw on jools? i love the music in the vein of bob willis and the texas playboys (especially in a smaller set), but i really loved the jazz heavy w/violin a la jean luc ponty...anybody want to give me a bio on HCCT, with music like theirs and the reference to cowtown--Ft. Worth--home of bob willis at the (something, i think the texas) ballroom..did they start out in F.W.?
Comments: Saw the band last April at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival in CA; it was a great show. Any Phoenix tour dates planned?
Comments: Awesome show Wednesday night in Sellersville. The crowd was a bit small yet quite enthusiastic. What a great venue. I talked to a bunch of folks that had never seen you live and now understand why we have no qualms about travelling to see you perform. By the way, dinner next door at the Washington House was exquisite. We've caught 5 shows in three states in 2009. I think this is a new record for us. The OH & IL shows already conflict with other shows we have scheduled, so unless I can talk Krista into UT (her sister lives in Heber) we'll just have to look forward to 2010. NC is already on our radar. Thanks again for all the great music you give us. We shall continue to support. I'm still waiting for my XXL t-shirt.
Comments: When we saw you at that home concert in Mission Viejo, CA. we bought a poster of yours for my husband's World War 2 Air Force crew member. Elena, you wrote something really sweet on it, and Jiggs loved having it. He had it on the wall of his room in nursing home, where he died April 12, 2009. He lived in Austin, and was the one who first told us about your group and your music. Just thought you might like to know that you brought some smiles to this fine veteran and gentleman. Nancy Bird
Comments: What a great show at Dizzy's Place. I sat with your family, what nice folks. The Dizzy's story was so heartfelt. ALAN
Comments: Thank you so much for the awesome show at the Reno/Sparks Victorian main stage at the recent Rib Cook-Off. Thanks Jake for talking amps with me. And thank YOU Elana for being so amazing and beautiful! I will be looking forward to your triumphant return in December! Timothy
Comments: It is so great to see you all back together again. We saw you a few years ago in So Cal and caught Whit and his other band up at the Strawberry Music Fest in Yosemite. But we are so glad Hot Club is back! Jake you are by far the best bass player we have ever heard!! Hope you will be coming to the Left Coast soon!!
Comments: Hey Elana, Whit and Jake: Great seeing you again at the Continental Club-Houston. Nice to see y'all playing together again...and fantastically!! I've been chasing Hot Club around Texas (as well as PA and Ohio) since i first saw y'all at Gruene Hall in '98! And you drank all my Shiner Bock when we snuck it into Wilberts in Cleveland!! Time Flies!! I'm the one who always requests "Jessie's Polka". Get it back into the song list, please! The new CD is by far the best one ever!! We are listening to it alot. Thanks again and come back to Houston soon. The Mucky Duck would be the perfect room. Cheers, Ron
Comments: We enjoyed the second night even more than the one the night before. Thanks for playing my requests, Stardust particularly. You guys are awesome! Didn't know you played Parsons. Will see you there next year if you book it, if not before. Jim and Krista: It was nice meeting your guys.
Comments: Heard you all recently back in Austin, Tx. and had a chance to get a couple of your older albums at the merchandise table. On the "Best of..." album, when Elana sings "Deed I Do", I noticed that her rendition is VERY similar to Blossom Dearie! Is that a coincidence??? Wondered if she was an inspiration for Elana, as she was one of my fave performers, making her career playing cocktail piano in France... Thanks for keeping us filled with that great hot jazz of Stephane and Django! Ricki Klos |
