Comments: i caught the hcoc a couple of yrs ago at the juneau folk festival and they blew me (and everyone elso) away. also got a chane to chat briefly with whit - he is obvioulsy a very nice guy - altho he was ailing with the flu at the time, he took the time to tell me about his L-12 and givve me a few hints on improvising. i also want to comment that i appreciate the new words they use for silver dew on the dewddrops tonite. i wish them all the best. btw - i now own a nice 1946 L-7 and think about whit every time i play it. ...j

Comments: Well, just got my latest Hightone email and what does it start off with? "After the break up of the Hot Club of Cowtown in 2004, Whit Smith began building Whit Smith's Hot Jazz Caravan." Does that mean HCofC is officially done? I hope not. I'm sure Whit's HJC is great, too. I'll pick up the first CD I can. But I absolutely loved HCofC. Hope you guys plan on reuniting from time to time.
