Ceres Park/Jester King Brewery/HCCT & Dale Watson event collaboration was AWESOME! HCCT capped of the night with a spectacular performance! Glad we made the trip from Wisconsin to attend. Comments: I saw Hot Club at the Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival Sunday May 1, 2011. I had a great time! The beat kept by Elana's beautiful legs and rhythm had me clapping for the 45-minute session. Had to see the second show. Albums recently released sold out, but I had a chance to get the autographs and buy the Best of... Be sure to visit again, I'll have 20 friends with me.
Comments: Hello Hot Club Make sure you check out the July 2010 issue of Cowboys & Indians ... there is a great article on Bob Wills written by his daughter Carolyn Wills. From Turkey Texas to Tulsa Oklahoma throughout the Depression he rose to fame and became the genre's favorite son. His "holler" became famous all along Route 66 .. Texas to the West Coast. Your new album is a perfect tribute .. "What Makes Bob Holler!" We really enjoyed your recent NPR piece and the Mountain Stage interview and performance was as always ... the best. Our best .. Elena, you're perhaps the best fiddle player I've ever heard. Just bought a CD and wish it was a download so I could enjoy it tonight.

Comments: Couple of suggestions: 1. Elana (in particular) and the Band generally should be easier to contact personally, themselves - not all these agents and whatnot. 2. Elana should have much, much video of herself on her own site, even if it is only like the Youtube videos (which is where I first saw/heard her and which I want more of). And, following on from that, she should market DVD's - videos of her playing. Does she/does the band, realise they could make their own DVD's, ad hoc, comprised even of whatever people who wrote in wanted, and could make ISO files of them and could have them available for download? They could charge for them, they could give some away free (market penetration), they run a whole 'you ask for it' thing where they put together a dvd 'just for you'. At what cost? Virtually nothing! That's the point. Such things on the web cost virtually nothing to make available and they sit there earning money for you while you do your own thing. Get onto it....
